Avatar: “an icon or figure representing a particular person in computer games, Internet forums, etc.”

In simplest terms, Avatar Controls is a smart home device manufacturer based in Shenzhen. I was given the opportunity to help build its brand from the start, beginning with a logo.

Work led into design for Avatar's first product lineup, starting with its OEM smart camera 3D model.

2-dimensional mockups followed — battery wrapping and packaging, camera, smart plug, and hub featured below.

Faces allow us to build relationships—they're the best means we have to understand those closest to us.

For Avatar, that face became Eywa, named after the force that keeps its world in perfect equilibrium—also known as the tree from James Cameron's Avatar.

As for this next brand, “Designed in California” does a good job of summing it all up.

But it's also a vape company so watch out.

During my time with Wismec I saw it grow from a modest startup to its current position as industry leader.

Spearheaded by its lead designer and spokesman, we worked together to develop a voice for the fledgling brand.

In case you didn't see the note at the very top, this site's under construction—so ignore this text thank you :•)

Pulling resources from Joyetech's U.S. R&D team, the Joyetech AIO’s SolidWorks models were used to create the following teasers from its “Hold Your Breath” teaser campaign.
